Each programmable Edison robot features a host of sensors and can be programmed using a growing number of FREE software applications. The EdWare software provides a graphic robot programming interface, similar to Scratch, making programming fun and easy to learn. Equipped with infra-red (IR) transmitters and receivers, line tracking, barcode reading, sound and music playing capabilities, sound detection, two motors with variable speeds, left and right red LED lights, and three control buttons, the Edison robots offer a wide range of functionalities. They can communicate with each other over IR and can even be programmed and controlled using TV and DVD remotes.
