The Series 40 Orbit Blocks are constructed with toughened glass fiber reinforced nylon cheeks, which are lightweight yet strong. These replace the traditional stainless steel straps found in utility blocks, offering a perfect balance of performance and reliability.

The block's ball-bearing system ensures smooth and efficient trimming. It utilizes a 2-stage bearing system with ball bearings to minimize friction, along with a secondary full-contact bearing to maintain low friction across the full working load range.

With class-leading dynamic and static load ratings, the Ronstan RF48100 Orbit Single Block can handle high loads with ease. It is suitable for mainsheet systems and spinnaker sheets on dinghies, off-the-beach catamarans, and sportsboats up to 8m (26ft). It can also be used for halyard, vang, backstay applications on boats up to 9m (30ft), as well as control line applications on larger yachts.
